Mental Health Medication Management

Online mental health medication management focused on careful prescribing, clear guidance, and consistent follow-up.

Conditions we treat with medication

We prescribe for mental health conditions that disrupt daily life, including work, relationships, or sleep, and that benefit from medical oversight. Our psychiatric providers manage medication for:

  • Depression (major depressive disorder, persistent depressive disorder, treatment‑resistant depression)
  • Anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety)
  • Adult ADHD (evaluation and non‑stimulant treatment)
  • OCD (obsessive‑compulsive disorder and related conditions)
  • Bipolar disorder (Bipolar I, Bipolar II, mood stabilization)
  • PTSD (post‑traumatic stress disorder) and trauma‑related conditions
  • Insomnia related to mental health conditions

Care starts with your symptoms, history, and goals. Treatment is built around your life, not a checklist.

Medications used in care

We choose FDA-approved medications based on your symptoms, history, and how you’ve responded to treatment in the past. Options may include:

  • SSRIs (sertraline, escitalopram, fluoxetine)
  • SNRIs (venlafaxine, duloxetine)
  • Bupropion (Wellbutrin)
  • Buspirone (Buspar)
  • Atypical antipsychotics (aripiprazole, quetiapine, risperidone; used for augmentation in depression or for bipolar symptoms)
  • Non‑stimulant ADHD medications (atomoxetine, guanfacine, clonidine, viloxazine)

Medication is never handed out automatically. We explain why a medication is suggested, what to expect, and what to watch for.

What we don’t prescribe: We generally do not prescribe controlled substances like benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin) or stimulants (Adderall, Vyvanse) via telehealth. If you are currently taking these medications, please discuss with us, and we may be able to help or refer you appropriately.

How our program works

Here’s what to expect, from the online assessment to ongoing management.

Step 1: Online Assessment

You complete a brief questionnaire about your symptoms, health history, and current concerns. We match you with a provider based on your needs and availability, and the information helps prepare for your visit.

Step 2: Schedule Your Appointment

You schedule a time that works for you. Appointments are often available within days.

Step 3: Initial Evaluation

The first visit is 45-60 minutes. We review your history, past treatments, and side effects, and may use rating scales. We decide on a treatment plan together, with clear next steps.

Step 4: Ongoing Management

Follow-up visits are 15-30 minutes. We focus on how you are feeling, medication effects, and any needed adjustments. Early visits are usually monthly, then become less frequent as you stabilize.

Insurance and cost

We check your insurance benefits before your first visit and explain any out-of-pocket costs before you commit to care.

  • Washington: Most commercial plans. Private pay is available.
  • Nevada: Most commercial plans. Medicaid and Medicare accepted. Private pay is available.
  • New Mexico: Most commercial plans. Medicaid and Medicare accepted. Private pay is available.
  • California: Private pay only. We do not bill insurance in California.

Frequently asked questions

We're here to answer all your questions

Clear answers about care, first steps, and what to expect. Simple, honest guidance from the start.

Some medications begin helping within 1 to 2 weeks, but full benefits often take 4 to 6 weeks or longer. Your provider tracks your progress and adjusts treatment so you’re not waiting without support.

Early follow-ups are usually monthly, so we can monitor how you respond to medication. Once you’re stable, visits often move to every 2 to 3 months. Your provider recommends a schedule based on your needs.

Some providers offer limited therapy alongside medication management. If dedicated talk therapy would help, we can connect you with trusted therapists.

If you’re struggling with alcohol or drugs alongside a mental health condition, our Dual Diagnosis Treatment may be a better fit. We treat both together and can connect you with additional support.

We e-prescribe to your preferred pharmacy after your visit. Refills are provided when appropriate during follow-ups. If a medication isn’t working well, contact us, and we’ll help adjust your plan.

We generally do not prescribe controlled substances like stimulants or benzodiazepines via telehealth. If you currently take these, discuss your situation with us, and we can advise or refer you.
